After
researching companies that specialized in processing
alumni information, the LPA chose Harris Connect as
the collector and publisher of OUR alumni information.
Harris Connect printed the L/P Alumni’s Directory
in 2006 with information about alumni that Harris collected
through a mass mailing. Originally, addresses were generated
by LPA volunteers who copied old high school records.
Although not all of our alumni returned the information,
a significant percentage demonstrated an interest by
responding and many of them chose to buy a directory.
The LPA, who had no funds to pay for postage or publishing
fees, entered into a successful contract with Harris
Connect who sold the books and benefitted from the sales.
Now, because of our working relationship with the Harris
company, we also have access to an online data base
which Harris maintains for us. The

to use this site to keep connected with other alumni.
At any time we hope that you will log on to enter and/or
update any information that you are willing to share
with us. For those who may want more extensive options,
there is a fee of $9.95 a year. However, we are NOT
suggesting that you pay for the service unless you are
interested in more access to the other services in the
site.
By keeping your information current, you are allowing
connections with old and new friends. As your association,
we encourage those updates. There are opportunities
and occasions for sending an email to everyone such
as the notification of the association’s annual
meeting. There are times when an email to a targeted
group might be warranted such as an appeal for those
of you in certain occupations to participate in a “Career
Day” at school. Further still, in 2011, we may
want to publish another directory for those who want
a printed book. |
